The Conservation Commission of Western Australia (Conservation Commission) was formed on 16 November 2000. Amendments to the Conservation and Land Management Act 1984, effective 7 May 2016, established the Conservation and Parks Commission, which succeeds the Conservation Commission and the Marine Parks and Reserves Authority.
