Comprehensive consultation and engagement were undertaken for the development of the Draft Forest Management Plan 2024-2033 (draft FMP). This included a three-month public consultation period. 

Additional consultation was undertaken by the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) during its assessment of the FMP, and the appeals committee when considering appeals on the EPA report.

A Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Strategy has been developed for the implementation of the FMP, which provides a range of opportunities for stakeholder and community engagement over the next 10 years.
